The importance of understanding the limits of Metaverse

The Metaverse world, at times, seems to be so far away from our lives and reality, but it actually isn’t. Nowadays, many fields, such as art and culture, economics and politics, history and fashion or many others, take place also in the Metaverse, and what our society must do is use it as a tool to improve our lives and future, while not leaving the real world behind, because it can actually help us become a better generation if we understand how to use it in our favour.

For instance, being an online world, it can help those people who, in real life, suffer from communication problems, or that maybe experience social anxiety anytime they try to talk or simply are in the presence of other people, and in this case, as it is not their fault, Metaverse can help, considering it as a place where people can rehearse and improve their self-esteem other than their confidence.

However, what people must do is understand the limits of this virtual world, because it does not only provide positive things, but it could also bring negativities and problems, such as, for the minors, being approached online by an adult while faking to be a child or a teenager, or become too attached to this vision that they forget what real life is or even become grumpy with family and friends, which is why it is highly suggested to monitor kids and don’t let them be too much involved in the online games, but also try to get them interested in the cultural aspects that Metaverse offers, such as cultural quizzes, interesting topics about politics, history and arts, in fact, for example, there are many virtual sites that allows people to visit important museums from all around the world, which is an amazing way of seeing something that in real life is probably difficult to achieve, due to the distance or economic unavailability.

In conclusion, and as far as I am concerned, Metaverse offers an incredible passport to most things people may need, such as a simple hobby to do in the free time, or a way to learn about other countries’ cultures and histories, or get informed about politics in the world; nevertheless, the successful result of it only depends on how people actually use it, because, if used with good intentions and correctly, then it can only help us improve in many aspects of our lives.
